The information on this subject have been made public by the creative director, Tim Willits, in an interview. According to him, Quake Champions will be available for free.
Those who don't want to spend a penny on the new game, will have this option, but they will be limited to a single character - Ranger. To access all available characters with unique abilities, there will be a tax - as we expected, nothing is free in this life. Otherwise, it appears that will be some elements in the game that can be bought, but if you don't want to, you don't have to.
